November 2015

November was a fun and eventful month! We had our first snow, which is always exciting. I think I get just as excited as the boys do to go out and play in it. The weekend before Thanksgiving I was able to drive to Utah with Janette where we met my Mom and Kristy at the airport. We got to spend a weekend together, just us girls, and it was so much fun! We did a service project at the biggest homeless shelter in Utah which happens to be located in Salt Lake City. They get a lot of donations especially around the holidays. So our job for a couple of hours was to sort through donation bins. Janette and I sorted through a big bin of pants that we had to put into the right bin according to size for when they bring people through to pick what they need. Mom and Kristy sorted through barrels of winter clothing like hats and gloves etc. They told us that they sleep anywhere from 500-1000 people a night. The two streets in front of the shelter were just lined with hundreds of homeless men, women and children. It was so sad and so humbling at the same time. It made me so very grateful for all of my many blessings! Some other things we did was we got to go through a live session in the Salt Lake temple, visits to both of my Grandparents and lots of lots of shopping, visiting and laughing. I was so stinking tired after that weekend! All of the Mom and sister time was good for my soul though! I can't wait to do it again! A huge shout out to my sweet hubby who took care of everything back home. Not only did he watch the boys the whole time, but he also made sure the house stayed clean for our Thanksgiving visitors that were coming once I got home and he cleaned our entire basement since that was where we were going to have our Thanksgiving dinner. He's so good to me! Once my Mom and I got home from SLC she was kind enough to watch the boys for Tyrel and I while we went to the family condo at bear lake for my birthday and a little get away. It was so nice, but so weird to have a day and a half where we could just do whatever we wanted ha ha. We didn't do anything to exciting, we chose to relax since that is a rare occurence. We watched movies, ate lots of junk, sat in the hot tub and just visited, it was really nice to get away with my love! Thanks Mom! We were able to have Thanksgiving at our house this year and it was fun to have so many people over. All of my family minus my sister and her family came as well as all of Tyrel's family minus his brother who is on a mission. We also had a friend (Ed) from our ward come over for dinner. He helped us out a lot when we were building our house and he is so nice and giving of his time. Anyways it turned out to be a good day. After dinner and clean up we played games and visited. Thanks everyone for coming and contributing with the food and the clean up!

My cute little puff ball:)

So excited for the snow!

Cute brothers!

I'm not sure what to say about this picture ha ha. Good times!

Sorting through pants at the shelter.

This was a little chocolate shop we passed that also had yummy caramel covered apples rolled in all sorts of deliciousness. Kristy especially loved this place ha ha (wink wink)

Temple trip

We ate at the cheesecake factory one day! (my favorite)

After church on Sunday we were able to go and have Sunday dinner with Grandpa and Grandma Kendall.

We also were able to visit my Grandma Larsen.

I'd say we accomplished a little Christmas shopping!

This was when my Mom was watching the boys. They were talking to me niece, Jazlyn on the phoe.

Bath time!

On Thanksgiving morning, Kindra woke up to a few hundred sheep in her yard. They were huddled up on the side of her house and in her yard seeking shelter from the crazy weather. There was a horrible storm the night before and the herders had lost them in it.

Helping Grandma whip the cream:)

The boys enjoying their Thanksgiving dinner.

Those eyes! I still only have 2 nieces, this little doll and Jazlyn. I am very lucky to have 5 nephews though!

October Happenings

Lately any time that Tyrel sees a yummy recipe online that he wants me to try he will send it to me in a facebook message so that its saved. He sent this to me one day and said do you have everything for these cookies because I really want them...like today ha ha. I actually did and he didn't really think I'd make them that day, but I surprised him while he was out working and he came home to these german chocolate cookies. They were delicious!!!!!

I canned some yummy salsa. I think it looks so pretty when you first dump it all in the pot and stir it around, its just so bright and colorful!

Cuddles with brother:)

We had a first very cold day of the fall and so we got this cute little number out. It used to belong to my brothers when they were little. Isn't he the cutest little puff ball!

On this morning I was exercising and Halter laid down on the floor and just watched me. I could tell he was tired, but it wasn't quite to the time that I usually lay him down, but next thing I knew he was asleep on the floor. So of course I had to snap a couple pics, he's just so cute!

Helping Mommy with some laundry:)

My parents came for conference weekend. We appreciate them making the effort to come so often, the boys love it when they're here! So do I:)

Painting with some pudding:)

Cute little chocolate face!

Brotherly love

Oh how I love this boy!

This kid is a climber!!! Oh my heavens! He can get absolutely anywhere that he wants to. He somehow always figures out a way. Good thing he's so cute!

We went to a Halloween party at our friend's Mac and kayla's house and she had made a bunch of cookies for the kids to decorate. She decorated a bunch too and sent some home with us. How stinking cute are these?!?! She is so talented.

I love it when they're getting along:)

Halter was pretty fascinated with the pumpkin carving. He was making the funniest faces when Tyrel and Tytyn would pull the guts out.

Gorgeous sunset over a rockpile ha ha! I love it out here!!!

Tytyn drew the face he wanted on the pumpkin.

Pretty full moon right over the pivot.

Making the pumpkin's face:)

All dressed and ready to go to the trunk or treat. Tiger and cowboy!

I got to mow our grass lots of times before it snowed. It always looked so pretty afterwards. Our back lawn came in really well and were able to play on it a lot before the snow came, but the front yard for some reason will need lots of work. I never had to mow it, it just wouldn't grow.

Love my view, God is good!

September Happenings

I didn't get a whole lot of pictures in September. We were getting into the groove of life with Tytyn in school and busy with lots of farm work. I did a bunch of canning and we also made it to the fair one day.

The boys helped me can peaches one day, it got a little crazy, but we had fun.

Watching the "Defying Gravity" show at the fair. I just thought it was too cute the way they were sitting.

They did some pretty cool tricks!

This little gem won first prize for best fair food so of course we had to try it. Its a brownie topped with cheesecake and raspberry filling covered in chocolate, so really how could you go wrong?!
Fair prices are just ridiculous! Tytyn gets about 10 tickets each time and gets to choose what rides he wants to ride. With 10 tickets thats only about 3-4 rides, but he's never complained about it yet and enjoys the ones he gets to go on.
Watching brother on the rides. You'll probably be big enough next year little one:)

So happy!

This is one of my favorite go to snacks for either mid morning or sometime in the afternoon when I get a craving for something sweet. Its greek yogurt with chopped apple, sliced almonds and coconut chips. Just under 300 calories and definitely satisfies my sweet tooth.
