Our weekend

Our weekend consisted of working more in our backyard all day Friday and Saturday. We finally got EVERYTHING cleared! Then Tyrel did lots of moving dirt and smoothing. It feels good to be that far even though we still have a long ways to go. The lady we bought the house from had totally just let the backyard go. It was completely dead and there was garbage everywhere. All the bushes were overgrown and ugly so it just all had to go and now we are starting from scratch. Tyrel and I have callings in our new ward now. He got called into Young Mens to be over the deacons again, which was his calling in our last ward. He was actually pretty excited about it, he likes hanging out with the young men. I got called to be the primary chorister and I absolutely LOVE it. It is SO much fun! I have literally been in primary since I graduated high school minus a short 2 month stint in young womens. But I love it so much, primary is the place to be for me! So Sunday after church we decided to head to Salt Lake. There just isn't sufficient shopping for certain things in Vernal and we wanted to visit both of my grandparents. We stayed the night at my Grandpa and Grandma Kendall's house. Then the next morning we went to visit my Grandma Larsen. I haven't seen my Grandma Larsen in quite awhile, not since she hasn't been in her own house. It was so good to see her and we had a really nice visit. Tytyn was really cute with her and loved hanging out with another Grandma! He was under a year old when my Grandpa passed away. My Grandma has a picture of him in her room and Tytyn went right up to the picture and said "thats Grandpa!" Grandma really teared up and thought it was really neat that he knew his Great Grandpa. I've never showed him pictures of him so I'm not sure how he knew, I'll bet Grandpa has watched over him a time or two. I thought of the picture below when Tytyn went and pointed to the picture of Grandpa. We sure miss him.

Tytyn came in the house one day this week and said "I all dirty Mama."

Tytyn being Daddy's big helper, there's no where he'd rather be then on his Dad's lap in a piece of equipment.

Giving loves to Grandma Larsen

They had an instant special bond.

  1. Heston is totally the same way! If any equipment is going anywhere, he thinks he needs to be with whoever is driving it. Boys and their motors :) Sounds like the yard is coming along! Miss you guys!

  4. Your visit with Grandma Larsen meant so much to her. Those are darling pictures. I can't imagine why Tytyn would want to be with Daddy in the bulldozer :) So cute!
