Tytyn's birthday kind of landed on a crazy day this year. It was the day before we moved from Vernal back to Blackfoot. Everything was so chaotic with all the packing and cleaning going on. I wanted to somehow make the day special for him though; he is very easy to please, which is something I love about him. The littlest thing can entertain him for so long. I had a few birthday decorations from other birthdays and so the night before I decorated our empty house with a few things so that he could wake up to it. He thought it was pretty darn neat. Tyrel's Mom, Kindra, was with us and we all decided to take a break that afternoon and everyone came with me to Roosevelt for my last doctor's appointment with my doctor there. They waited in the car for me while I was checked one last time to make sure the baby was head down for the long car ride home. Then we went out to lunch to a place in Roosevelt that we've wanted to try for a long time. It is a diner type place that is run and owned by a polygamist family. They are only open on the days that God tells him to be open, so we lucked out that one of our last days living there they were open! It was delicious! They make EVERYTHING from scratch. I'm talking homemade food, desserts, sauces, soda, everything. We then went home and opened some presents. He had gotten some games that he wanted to play so we played those with him for awhile before we started back at the packing and cleaning. We were so blessed to have SO many of our friends and neighbors come and help us. I had a huge group of ladies show up to help me clean the house, which was so helpful seeing as how I was due in 2 weeks. I had been stressing about the move so badly, especially the deep cleaning part. I didn't know how I was going to manage with how uncomfortable I was. Thank goodness for wonderful friends and neighbors, I can't begin to express my appreciation for all of them! And we were never in need of more men to help haul things out and load things up. We will miss our ward, friends and neighbors there so much! I felt bad that I wasn't able to make him a cake on his actual birthday, but we went to Wingers for dinner and I told them it was his b-day so they brought him a big piece of asphalt pie and sang very loudly to him. He loved that! I wish I had had a camera to video his reaction to a big group of waiters and waitresses singing to him. He was just in awe that all of those people knew that it was his birthday and that they were singing to him. He had been telling me for several weeks that he wanted an ice cream cake for his birthday so I made sure to make him one a couple days after moving back to Blackfoot. I know he enjoyed his day despite the chaos, I can't believe my little boy is 4! Just some fun things about Tytyn....
He has a very large vocabulary and loves to talk your ear off about anything and everything.
He is VERY friendly and outgoing. He will start conversations with complete strangers.
He loves animals! He took after me in that aspect and I love that he likes going outside with me to play with the dogs.
He loves basically anything to do with the outdoors.
He loves to wrestle with his Dad and uncles.
He is a very good helper around the house and the farm.
He is at the age where he probably asks about a million questions a day. That's how they learn I guess:)
I asked him some questions of some of his favorite things, his answers are below.
Favorite Color: Red
Favorite Fruit: Blueberries
Favorite Vegetable: Carrots
Favorite Candy: Suckers
Favorite Movie: Cars
Favorite thing to do outside: Play fetch with the dogs.

Tytyn is such a special boy. He has blessed our lives in more ways than I can count. I feel so privileged and blessed to be his Mother. Words cannot express how much I love that little man.

A picture in our front yard right before leaving our house in Vernal. Don't judge my appearance please, I was EXTREMELY pregnant, tired, in pain and so ready to be done with everything to do with moving. We were very sad to be leaving our friends, our ward, our first home and all the fun memories we made there. |

A couple of weeks before we moved Kristy and her family were passing through on their way to their new home and stayed a night with us. It was so fun to watch the kids play so well together and to visit and have some much needed sister time. Plus I hadn't met my newest nephew, Shelten yet. He is so stinking cute! Thanks for going a little bit out of the way to come and see us, we appreciated it SO much! |

Of course they had to take a funny face picture. |

I wish I lived closer to my sister! It hurts my heart sometimes to be so far away from her and her kids. |

Tytyn and one of his best pals, Tilda. She is SO patient with him, they are pretty cute together. |
Happy BD to Tytyn! I can't believe he is four already. We're looking forward to seeing more pictures of your new little one.
ReplyDeleteMakes me miss you more just thinking about how much fun our kids had playing together!! And that I haven't met Halter yet. Thank goodness for phones and Skype, but it's still not quite the same. Counting down until Thanksgiving!!
ReplyDeleteCute!! Tytyn is definitely one of a kind. He has the cutest personality and you never know what he is going to say. I'm glad I've been able to see him frequently. I'll miss going to Vernal to your home there. I have some great memories there. Love you:)
ReplyDeleteI love the pictures of Tytyn working on the farm. I bet he is a wonderful big brother.
ReplyDeleteTytyn is such a cute kid! I don't live as far as you do away from my sister but it stinks. We will have to get together in Idaho Falls some time. I would love to see your kids!
