October

October was a blur for several different reasons. I hardly have any pictures on my camera of the month of October, but I'll share the ones I do have. Hope everyone is having a fabulous fall! Winter is SO close, I can feel it!

We had 2 giant hailstorms! This was just the beginning of the first one. It looked like it had snowed by the time it was over. I have never seen hail so big!

Homemade 100% honey whole wheat bread, yum!

Tyrel was spinning the boys around on this chair one day while we were in Idaho. We are in Idaho basically every other weekend due to Tyrel's Dad being sick, helping with harvest and starting cows. To say I am SICK of that drive is a HUGE understatement!

My little olive fingers!

Patiently awaiting for the cookies to be done.

One day after I got out of the shower and was getting ready, Tytyn asked really nicely if he could please comb my hair for awhile. I LOVE when people play with my hair so I agreed and basically was drifting off to sleep while he was combing it when I heard an "uh oh" and a sharp tug. Everytime he got to the bottom of my hair he was wrapping a little bit of my hair around the comb. I didn't realize because my hair has gotten so long I couldn't feel what he was doing. I surprisingly stayed really calm because I know he didn't realize what he was doing, but deep down I was trying really hard to not have a panic attack. I tried and tried and could not get this comb out of my hair, I was so afraid I was going to have to cut a huge chunk out of my hair. After a quick prayer I patiently tried again and after about a half hour, I was free! We had a combing lesson and we have been accident free since ha ha.

This is a very common sight. He loves, loves, LOVES this dog! He goes outside to play with his dogs everyday and can often be seen just resting on them and wrestling them. This dog, Matilda, is so patient and good with him. He is always telling me how much he loves his dogs and how they are his best friends.

We are phasing out of nap time. This kid is an excellent sleeper. He always sleeps all the way through the night with the exception of being sick or having a bad dream. He is 3 1/2 and was still taking and 1 1/2 to 2 hour nap every single day except Sunday. I knew the day would be coming that nap time would phase out though. He still takes a few a week and the days he doesn't he goes to bed at like 7. He is really such a good boy. This day he refused to take a nap, but snuck away from me when I was on the phone and crawled in my bed and fell asleep. He just looked so cute I didn't have the heart to wake him up!

Happy Halloween! I am loving this age where he is realizing and remembering all these fun holidays coming up. He talked about Halloween and trick or treating for weeks leading up to it! He was the cutest little cowboy ever! He got so many compliments on his costume!

We woke up to snow one morning. He looked out the window at about 6:45 am and was begging and begging to go outside!!!!! There was just barely enough snow to cover the ground, but he was just so excited! I finally let him go out at about 9:30 and the first thing he did was flop down in the snow and make snow angels. It melted pretty fast except for along the fence line, but he stayed out there for hours until it was gone.

Yes he is holding himself because he came in to pee, but I had to hurry and get a quick pic because he looked so cute and happy in his snow clothes!

  1. Your bread looks great! I love Tytyn's costume, he looks so cute. I remember when you use to spend hours filling my hair with barrettes. Glad you got the comb out & didn't have to chop off your hair. Love the pictures.
    Love you, Mom
