December and Stuff

There are so many things to post about, I am WAY behind. Hopefully I don't leave anything out for my own sake. We spent Christmas with just the 3 of us this year and it was really alot of fun! We made alot of good memories together! It's so much fun to start some of your own family traditions and to also carry on some from growing up. Tyrel's brother, Logan, got married the Friday before Christmas in the Rexburg, Idaho temple and so we were able to be there for that and then came home the day before Christmas Eve. They are just the cutest couple and are so perfect for each other. We are so happy for them! There has been lots of sicknesses going around and we have been so fortunate to be very healthy this year, none of us have gotten sick at all. I kept praying that none of us would be sick for Christmas and if anyone was that it would please be me. So we had a wonderful Christmas and it wasn't until that night that I woke up feeling AWFUL! I had gotten the 24 hour flu somehow and lets just say from the hours of 1 in the morning until 7 in the morning I was in the bathroom. Tyrel took the day after Christmas off and stayed home to take care of Tytyn and I. I am so grateful we were all healthy for Christmas though and were able to have such a good day together! What a wonderful husband I have! I'll post some pics of the little things we did here and there in the month of December. Hope you all had a great Christmas and are having a Happy New Year.
Tytyn came to me this morning and told me he had made his bed. I hadn't even said anything about it yet, he is such a good boy!

My little helper, he would not smile and would only make this face for the camera:)

These are the snowman cookies that he did himself as I'm sure you can tell. I didn't have the heart to be anal and fix them so we baked them like this and guess what they tasted the same! ha ha

We finally got our first fair amount of snow. We went out and played in it a few times and had such a blast together! It was way too powdery and dry to build a snowman, but we ran around in it, played fetch with the dogs, threw snow at each other and made snow angels. It was a fun time!

Here is some of our Christmas madness. It was so fun watching Tytyn this year. I didn't get very many pictures because I took alot of video instead. Every present he opened he'd say, "What is it what is it, what is it?!" Then he always had the cutest reaction when he'd see what it was, he was very excited about each and every one of his presents, even the few that had clothes in them!

This was what I saw when I opened my gift this year! Some firewood, cool huh?!?!  Ok I really didn't get firewood ha ha. Every year Tyrel gets me a big gift that he has me do a scavenger hunt to find. So the firewood was a clue. The present ended up being in our neighbor's garage. We had cut firewood with them this fall and thats where they keep their wood. And guess what it was?! A PIANO!!!!! I was so excited! I was convinced it was a sewing machine, but secretly I would have rather had a piano this year, so it worked out perfect. Playing the piano is a talent I have kind of squandered. I took lessons for like 13 years and its embarassing how much I can't do because I haven't played all that much the past 6 years or so. I can still sit down and play lots of songs, but not quite at the level I was playing at before I quit. Its something thats bothered me for years and I 've really wanted to get back into it for a long time. I confided in Tyrel about this quite awhile ago and I am so happy that it mattered to him that it mattered so much to me:) I have the greatest husband in the world!
Here is the piano!

Our Christmas tree. Tytyn had so much fun helping us decorate it and was sad to see it go.

He got a little basketball hoop as one of his gifts. He LOVES it! He had to search for this gift also. His clue was it is  next to what you made a HUGE mess with several times this summer. And the doggies eat it. It was in the garage on top of the dog food bin.

His tool belt and tools. Hopefully this will help Tyrel's tools quit disappearing.

This is where the air blows out from the heater outside of our house. It has been SO cold that the condensation build up that drips, freezes before it hits the ground. It has literally been down in the negative 20's somedays! I feel bad for Tyrel who has to work outside all day while we're cooped up here in our warm house.

We were in Salt Lake last weekend and went to see my Grandma Larsen. We love visiting with her when we can. Tytyn was thrilled to get a sucker and a balloon!
