Flaming Gorge

I somehow was able to talk my Dad into foregoing Dworshak this year and heading to Vernal instead to do his boating here! They dropped Jacob off at the MTC Wednesday, the 11th, which is SO crazy by the way! I cannot believe that my baby brother is old enough to be a missionary!!! I am so proud of him and the choices that he has made to get him to where he is! I know he will have amazing experiences because he is an amazing person! So my parents and Jared headed our way after dropping Jacob off, I really wanted them to see our new house and to just be able to hang out with them! I hope my Dad thought it was worth the trip down. I know we weren't on the lake ALL day like I'm sure he wanted, but hopefully he got some good enough ski runs to make the trip worth it. I know we enjoyed seeing them and hanging out with them for a few days! Tytyn loves all of our family! He brings them all up by name very frequently and wants to make phone calls to everyone. My parents left really early Sunday morning before Tytyn woke up and the first thing Tytyn said after waking up that morning was, "Where's Papa?!" He asked for him all day and was sad when I told him he had to go bye bye to his house. He called Jared, "Jacob" for the first couple days, he still hasn't been around Jared a whole lot, but after the first day or two he finally got Jareds name down. Jacob had my parents bring down something he wanted Tytyn to have that was his. Tytyn freaked out and loves your gift Jacob!!! I'll post pictures! We camped at Flaming Gorge, it is so pretty up there! It is a 91 mile long reservoir that goes into Wyoming. We went boating of course, but also took a tour of the dam, got to visit alot, has some good dutch oven cooking, got to watch Jared and Dad do some cliff jumping, and of course just got to be together which was the best part for me. I am grateful they made the effort to come and see us. I know it was a long way to drag the boat and it is difficult to have to work the day around a toddler who needs a nap, but we had fun and I hope you guys did too!!!

It was really fun to hang out with Jared again, I've missed him!

Jared's Homecoming

WOW!!! June was the craziest month ever!!! And July isn't slowing down at all. We've been super busy getting into our new house and what not, but before I write anything about our crazy house adventures I need to write about my brother Jared returning home from his mission! Somewhere around the beginning or "middleish" of June ( I can't recall the day because everyday of this past month or so are all blurred together) I flew into the Portland airport the same evening as Jared and the rest of my family. My flight wasn't due to get in until shortly after Jared's and my parents so they had to stall a little because Jared didn't know I was coming. I had talked to him earlier that day on the phone on one of their layovers and he even asked me when he would get to see me, I was like oh for sure sometime this summer! It was pretty fun to surprise him! Tytyn even gave him loves and knew who he was because I had been showing him his pictures and we practiced his name alot in the weeks before he returned home. It was so awesome to be home with ALL of my family, minus my hubby, it was sad not having him there, but he had to work. It had been about 2 1/2 years or more since all of us siblings had been together and I forgot how much fun we can have! We all got to go to the temple together for the first time with my parents. I feel like I experienced what heaven would be like and I look forward to that day even more now. It was a very spiritual experience to be in the temple with my parents and all my siblings. I got to stay with my sister and her family for a few days before we drove up to my parents to stay for a couple more. It was fun to have some sister time and to watch our kids bond with each other. I wish we lived closer so we could hang out more! Getting to hear Jared give his talk in church that Sunday was also a blessed experience. He was filled with the spirit and has such a strong testimony of the gospel. It strengthened my testimony to hear him speak. It always goes by too fast when I'm visiting my family and before we knew it we were leaving. It was nice to get home to Tyrel though, we sure missed him!
