BBQ

One thing I LOVE about the summertime is having a good BBQ! We have had so many this summer already and it has been so fun to get together with lots of family and friends! Last night we got together with an old roommate of mine. We both met our husbands while we were roommates and then got married just a few weeks apart from each other. So after 3 years of being married and each having a baby we finally managed to all get together for the first time! They are moving to California this weekend and I am so sad to see them leave:( It was fun having you over Jessica, Marcus, and Kaylie!

Ten weeks have come and gone!

I just had to do a short blog post about my last ten weeks of babysitting. Today was my last day and I feel like ten pounds of stress have been lifted off of me. It was a good experience for Tytyn and I, but as of right now I'm pretty sure I'll never babysit someone that "long term" again. Here's a list of the last couple of weeks babysitting events; 1. About 5-6 murals on my walls. 2. Lots of bumps, scrapes, and bruises. 3. Stuffed animals repeatedly dipped in the toilet and then dragged around my house dripping toilet water. 4. About 20 colored pencils stuck in the grates of my heater. 5. 3 ripped books. 6. 2 boxes of cereal dumped all over my kitchen floor. 7. The vacuum bag dumped all over the carpet.....And this was all just in the past week or two. And I should probably mention that none of these things were done by Tytyn ha ha. I know my child isn't perfect and I'm sure he's got lots of future messes and such in the making, but I swear this child I was watching was bound and determined to destroy everything I owned! I learned the art of counting to 10 and taking really long, deep breaths. Now that it is all over I can actually look back at it all and laugh. It's funny now, but it wasn't when it all happened ha ha. So these have been my adventures lately and here's a few pics to follow of my cute little angel!

They decided it would be pretty fun to get the skip-bo cards out and spread them everywhere!

This cute outfit was given to Tytyn by his Aunt Britini for his 1st Birthday, I love it!

4th of July

A week ago Thursday, Tyrel texted me while he was at work and said, "How fast can you pack?" I was like well it depends on where we are going! He said he thought it would be fun to drive up to Washington to surprise my family for the 4th. So we packed up quick and left Friday morning at about 430 am and got to the lakehouse at about 4pm. They had absolutely NO clue that we were coming! We parked on the lane so that no one would see us pulling up. Then we walked to the house peeking in to see who we could see. We didn't see anybody so we snuck around to the deck area and my sister and aunt were sitting out there. I jumped out and yelled surprise! My sister just stared at me for a few seconds trying to register I think what was going on ha ha, and then she was like Lindsey! Oh my gosh! Then my Aunt Teens went into the house to get my Mom and I got to jump out and yell surprise for her too. It was SO funny! They were all shocked to see us there! It was so fun to surprise them all. For those of you who don't know, my family always has a really big party for the 4th of July at our lakehouse. We usually have some family come as well as lots of friends! We decorate the boat and then we participate in the boat parade. The boat parade is open to anyone and is just a bunch of decorated boats that circle the lake. Not only do they circle the lake, but they have a HUGE water fight with all the other boats and with everyone on the docks! It is super fun! We literally had hundreds of water balloons filled up beforehand and also used some super soakers. I didn't go on the boat this year I stood on the dock instead with my Aunt Teens and threw water balloons at the passing boats. It was so fun to hang out with my family for a few days! I not only got to see my parents, Jacob, Kristy and her kids, but my Aunt Teens and 3 of her kids as well as lots of friends! We had lots of fun visiting, playing games, having ping pong matches, playing volleyball, tubing, swimming, going for a bike ride, and various other activitites. It was a good little vacation! I want to throw out a special thank you to my sweet hubby Tyrel who loves to surprise me at random times, this was an AWESOME surprise! He is such a thoughtful and sweet guy and definitely knows what makes me happy:) Thanks again love, it was such a great trip! Heres some pics of our fun trip!
